Court Help Explained

It's important to understand the difference between legal information and legal advice. Court staff and judges can provide legal information, such as explaining court procedures and outlining your options, but they cannot give legal advice, which involves guidance on the best actions for your specific case. Legal advice is typically offered by lawyers. To find legal representation, connect with your local legal aid organization or bar association. For useful legal information, visit your local court or legal aid agency's website.
